Today, I am interviewing Chayan Chakrabarti from SimpleFactsOnline. Thank you Chayan for accepting this interview.

Q1. Hey Chayan, Can you introduce yourself to my community?

Hi Venkat, thanks a lot for allowing me to share my journey with your community.

Hi friends, my name is Chayan Chakrabarti. I am a digital marketer by profession and blogger by passion.

I am the founder of simplefactsonline , and I love exploring new things about digital marketing, blogging & affiliate marketing.

Q2. Can you share about your educational background?

Well, you guys will find it exciting, and I believe Indian kids will relate to it. I was born and raised in a humble family.

The majority of my family members were associated with the educational sector. So I got different opinions and emotions about my education since my childhood.

I was a mediocre student back in school;

you know that 55% to 60% guy? I was that. I was fond of computers; then, after my schooling, I decided to pursue Bachelors Of Computer Application; I completed it and started working in the ITES industry.

Q3. Who inspired you to start blogging?

I started blogging as a part of my office project back in 2018; as it was my office work,

we only worked on the basics, never intend to monetize it. So then I started researching more and more about blogging. And found out about Harsh Agarwal.

And also came to know the fact that he also words with the same organization as mine. So then I started to put more effort. So I can say Harsh inspired me a lot to take blogging seriously.

Q4. What are the reasons behind the selection of simplefactsonline name?

Excellent question. I may break many hearts now.  Okay, let me be honest and answer this one.

After knowing the potential of the blogging and digital marketing industry, I decided to learn more about digital marketing and eventually ended up taking admission to an offline digital marketing institute.

I had my reasons; I have more than 15 years of classroom teaching, so my mindset was not ready for online classes.

Okay, now let’s get back to the domain name selection.

In a class, we were told that we need to build our sites for learning purposes, and there was half an hour session about niches selection and domain name selections.

These things were new to me, and I did not know my expertise, branded domain, and any jazz.

I selected simplefactsonline as I intended to make things simpler, no matter what I am doing. And over time, it gained some authority in the blogging and digital marketing space, which is quite competitive.

So my advice to others will be to follow your gut feelings,

Q5.  What is your daily routine? Can you share some productivity tips?

I work round the clock. For my job, I have to follow the Canadian timings. Here’s how I work from Monday To Friday:

• Wake up at 6 am In A Monday Morning & Finish A Few Pending Tasks On the Blog. Have some breakfast, watching the news. And a few hours of sleep to get me ready for my 11.30 pm shift.
• My duty ends at 8.30 am the next day. After that, I finish my breakfast and try to work on the blog from 9 am to 1 pm, then after my lunch, I go to sleep, and this cycle continues from every Tuesday to Friday. 
• During weekends, I try to spend more time with the blog and spend some quality time with the near and dear ones.

Q6. Which hosting you recommend for beginners? And why?

Before recommending, I would like to tell the new folks that nothing is final and nothing is fatal when it comes to blogging tools.

You have a low-grade tool or hosting now, don’t worry; you will be able to invest in premium tools with time.

Look at me, I was using a local hosting back in 2018, and in 2021 I am with WPX.

Always choose hostings and tools based on your needs. Everyone has a different goal, so what is working for me might not work for others.

If you compare these things with the price, then it will be easy to decide.

Q7. What are your black friday promotion strategies?

Create more and more in-depth content.

And I make sure to write a review about the products that I use personally. Else it’s tough to get conversions.

Q8. Your Facebook group is awesome. How to build the Facebook group audience for blogging?

Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook with the intent of getting connected to more and more people.

And when it comes to strengthening a community, you have to be compassionate enough as an admin.

You have to earn those likes and comments that will enrich your engagement.

In my group, I have many industry leaders, and I have many newcomers, so I create posts and plan content that will give value to all.

Q9. What are your thoughts on my blog Blogging Ray? Can you share some suggestions?

I like the writing tone.

Especially after reading the article 5 Most Popular & Best WordPress Themes for Your Blog in 2021, I can see the amount of hard- work you are doing with your blog.

For me, keep doing what you are doing.

Q10. Can you share some tips to get affiliate sales? How much time it takes you to make first affiliate sale from your blog?

It took me more than nine months to get my first affiliate sale.

To increase affiliate sales, a blogger has to be patient and create more and more content around the same topic to gain authority, which will surely increase the ranking chances.

And if possible provide some freebies, some people have been promoting the same product before you.

What would the user get if they purchase the product from your link? An affiliate marketer should constantly be asking this question to themselves.

Q11. Can you share some tips to network with other bloggers?

When you are outreaching to a blogger, you have to understand one thing.

That blogger is also occupied with many things; he has his emotions, struggles, challenges, doubts.

So be as polite as possible and do not try to reach him in such a way that he stops responding to your Dm’s or blocks you.

Q12. Google Adsense vs Affiliate Marketing. What are your thoughts on it?

Both are great.

In a nutshell, you will need a few hundred thousand traffics, or sometimes a few million traffics (based on the niche), to get a decent paycheck.

In affiliate marketing, you may get almost the same payout with a few thousand traffics, maybe.

With time a blogger will understand what monetization methods work well for him.

Q13. How you are managing blogging and Job?

I answered this already in question number 5. I have been managing the blog and job for more than two years now.

Q14. Which social platforms are working for you? Can you share some tips to leverage social media for blogging?

I use almost all social sites.

Each site has its different purposes.

If I have to list the top 3 sites, they would be Facebook, Twitter & Linkedin.

I have one tip for all the aspiring marketers that is regular with your social media content production.
