1. Hey Rohit, Can you introduce yourself to my community?

Hi Venkat, thank you for having me here for this interview on your blog. 

I am a technology enthusiast who is always excited to explore new and innovative technology-related ideas. In addition to my professional work as a software developer in an MNC, I like to keep myself busy with various activities.

One of my passions is open-source technology, which led me to participate in the Google Summer of Code program for the Fossology project in 2022. It was a great honor for me to be selected, and this year, I am mentoring other GSoC contributors for the same project.

Alongside my interest in technology, I also manage multiple blogs. I share my knowledge and experience with others through my blog SiteReform.com, particularly beginners who may be just starting on their blogging journey.

I developed a Chrome Extension called Webpage Analyzer SEO tool, which enables web admins to see the meta-data of a webpage.

In addition to my work in technology, I am also actively involved in several social initiatives. One of my recent highlights was being part of the organizing team for the Global Child Prodigy Awards 2022, held in Dubai. It was an incredible experience to celebrate the achievements of young talents worldwide, and I am proud to have been part of the event.

2. Please tell me about your educational background.

I graduated from NSHM Knowledge Campus in Durgapur, where I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications. Following that, I enrolled in the M.Tech program at BITS Pilani through their WILP (Work Integrated Learning Program), where I am currently studying while also gaining practical experience in software development.

3. When do you come to blogging?

At the age of 16, my curiosity about how search engines provide relevant information for our searches led me to explore online, and I found myself naturally drawn to the blogging world. Though I started without knowing what I was doing, I learned something new with every step, and this fueled my passion for exploring more.

Through my experience, I discovered that blogging doesn’t have to be a burden if you take the right approach. It can be a rewarding experience with great benefits if you do it right. This realization drove my decision to start SiteReform.com, where I could share my knowledge and experiences with others.

During my journey, I experienced both good and bad phases. But overall, it was a fun and incredibly useful experience for me. It helped me develop my skills, grow as an individual, and connect with people from different walks of life.

4. What are the challenges you are facing as a Blogger?

One of the challenges of being a blogger is staying up-to-date with the latest trends and news in your niche. Being knowledgeable and relevant to your readers is crucial, so you must always be reading and researching to stay informed.

Another significant challenge is monetizing your blog. While there are several ways to earn money through a blog, finding the right balance between monetization and keeping the content authentic and engaging can be difficult. It’s crucial to strike a balance that works for you and your readers.

5. When is the right time to take blogging full time?

The right time to take blogging as a full-time job is when you have a stable income stream from your blog and are confident that you can maintain this income in the long term.

You should also consider your passion for blogging and whether you feel fulfilled by your work. If you enjoy creating content for your blog and are not feeling burnt out, this may be a good time to transition to full-time blogging.

6. Why should we consider blogging as a business model?

Many people earn a living through their blogs. I consider blogging a valuable business model for two main reasons. Firstly, it allows me to build a strong online presence in the blogosphere. By consistently producing high-quality content that resonates with my audience, I can attract a loyal following of readers who trust my opinions and recommendations.

Secondly, blogging is relatively low-cost and flexible and can be started with minimal investment. With the right strategy and tools, anyone can create a successful blog from anywhere in the world without needing expensive equipment or a physical location.

7. How are you facing society as a blogger?

As a blogger, I believe it’s important to be mindful of the impact that my content can have on society. 

I always approach my writing with a sense of responsibility and awareness of the potential consequences of my words.

One way I face society as a blogger is by engaging in meaningful conversations with my audience and actively seeking feedback and critiques of my work. I believe that being open to constructive criticism can help me to improve as a writer and better understand the perspectives of others.

8. Google Adsense vs Affiliate Marketing

I believe that the choice between Google AdSense and affiliate marketing ultimately depends on the nature of your audience.

Google AdSense can be a good option if you have a large and diverse audience, as it allows you to monetize your website through advertising without necessarily needing to sell any products. On the other hand, affiliate marketing can be a good fit if you have a more niche audience or are passionate about promoting specific products or services. 

You can create a more successful and sustainable website or blog by understanding what your audience is looking for and tailoring your monetization strategy to meet their needs.

9. What is your daily routine? Can you share some productivity tips?

My daily routine is fairly structured, as this helps me to stay focused and productive throughout the day. Typically, I wake up at 6 in the morning and begin my day by checking my emails and catching up on any relevant news or updates. This helps me stay informed about the latest developments in my field and ensures that I am up-to-date on any important information.

Next, I spend some time planning out my day by writing a to-do list in my diary. This allows me to prioritize my tasks and ensure I am making the most of my time. Throughout the day, I focus on one task at a time and limit distractions as much as possible. I find that taking regular breaks and moving around helps me to stay focused and energized.

In the evening, I make a point of going for a walk to clear my head and refresh my mood. I also make time to connect with friends, as I believe that having a strong support network is important. Then, I check my today’s planned to-do list and track if everything is completed. If not, I do the rest of the planned tasks.

My best productivity advice is to plan your day’s tasks early in the morning. This can help you prioritize your tasks and make the most of your time, ultimately leading to a more productive and successful day.

10. What are your major revenue sources?

As a blogger, my primary focus is creating valuable content that resonates with my readers and helps establish my authority in my niche. While revenue generation is essential, it’s not my primary focus.

However, I do generate revenue from affiliate marketing and sponsorships. I only promote products or services that align with my values and that I believe in, ensuring that my readers can trust my recommendations.

Sponsorships are another source of revenue for my blog. I collaborate with brands that align with my niche and values to create sponsored content that is both informative and engaging for my readers.

11. What’s the story behind the selection of SiteReform

The story behind the selection of SiteReform is an interesting one. 

It all started when I was looking for a brand name that would truly capture the essence of what I wanted to achieve with my website. My mentor suggested the name SiteReform.

The name SiteReform is a combination of two words – site and reform. The idea behind the name is to inspire people to reform their lives on their terms by creating a website to share content that feels good and helps others.

12. What are the major traffic sources for SiteReform, and Can you share some of your blog traffic stats to inspire my blog readers?

My major sources of traffic are organic and social media. I put a lot of effort into creating high-quality content that is optimized for search engines, which has helped us to rank well in search results and attract a steady stream of organic traffic.

I can share that for my other blogs, which cover various topics, I received a total of 100k traffic last month.

Remember, creating high-quality content optimized for search engines and promoting it through social media can effectively attract traffic to your website.

13. How much time did it take to generate the first payment from your blog SiteReform?

I was fortunate to receive an affiliate sale of cloud hosting very early from SiteReform.com. However, I must stress that this is not always the case for everyone. It can take considerable time and effort to build up a steady stream of traffic and conversions.

14. Can you share some suggestions for aspiring bloggers?

I’d be happy to share some suggestions for aspiring bloggers.                                       

My top three would be:

Firstly, it’s important to focus on building a long-term blogging brand. Don’t create a short-term blog in which you’ll lose interest after a few months. Instead, invest your time and energy into building a brand that you can be proud of and that will be sustainable over the long term.

Secondly, when choosing a niche, make sure it’s something you’re passionate about and have knowledge in. Don’t just chase after high money-making opportunities because you can only create quality content if you’re interested in the topic. Choose a niche you enjoy and know about, and your readers will appreciate your expertise.

Lastly, connect with other bloggers and industry experts. Networking is key in blogging, and building relationships with others in your niche can help you grow your blog and learn from others. Reach out to other bloggers, participate in forums and social media groups, and attend industry events.
